Born in Copenhagen and raised in Bangalore, Deepika Padukone was always a huge Badminton enthusiast, like her father Parkash Padukone and played in National Level championships. She later decided to take up modelling.

Last evening a media interaction was held to announce the official date of Filmfare Awards 2019. Present at the inaugural ceremony of 64th Vimal Filmfare Awards was the dynamite, Ranveer Singh.
Talking about his favourite Filmfare moments, Ranveer got a bit nostalgic and said he has a couple – the first being his first magazine cover and the other being he winning the best actor for Bajirao Mastani the same time Deepika Padukone won the best actress for Piku.
When asked about his favourite Filmfare memory Ranveer said he has a couple – the first being his debut magazine cover and the other him winning the best actor for Bajirao Mastani.
“When I first saw my first cover, that was huge for me because Filmfare has a legacy, Filmfare has a history. Filmfare is a goal standard and so it’s a dream to be on the cover of Filmfare. It’s been graced by titans of the show business. I was damn excited when I shot for it and when the cover came out, for me, it was like a dream come true. ‘Ranveer Singh takes the industry by storm’, the first film received so much love that I made it to the cover, I won the debut award.”
Talking about the second memory he said,
“Then other best memorable moment was winning the Best Actor Award for ‘Bajirao Mastani’ for Peshwa Bajirao. I mean, that was the most magical night. Deepika, my wife won on the same night for ‘Piku’, so to win with her in the same year was very very special for me, special for our whole family, who was present there. Rekha ji gave me the award and you know who was sitting in the first row, the man I wanted to be growing up, Amitabh Bachchan was sitting there. I could not ask for more. It was an absolutely unforgettable moment and its etched in my mind, my heart forever and ever. It’s always exciting to collaborate with Filmfare because of this cinephile.”
The 64th Vimal Filmfare Awards will be held on March 23, 2019.
After the enormous success of Aditya Dhar’s Uri: The Surgical Strike featuring Vicky Kaushal, Mohit Raina, and Yami Gautam, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Bhushan Kumar, Abhishek Kapoor, and Mahaveer Jain have come together to make a film on the recent counter-terrorist attack on terrorist base camps in Balakot.
Balakot was the aftermath of the deadly Pulwama terror attack. Balakot surgical strike was carefully planned and executed by the Air Force in retaliation to the terror attack. The film’s central figure will be Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman. He was involved in this attack and then was later held captive as a political prisoner by Pakistan.
After he returned safely to the homeland, filmmakers rushed to register several titles like Balakot, Pulwama: The Deadly Attack, Surgical Strike 2.0, How’s The Josh?
The casting of the film has not been finalized yet. The makers claim that this film will be a tribute to our valiant armed forces and a little offering from the film industry to them and their families.

Goopi Gawaiya Bagha Bajaiya has a simple & nice story. But is it engaging enough? Well, the answer is no.
It’s about two musicians who are not very talented. Gopi (Voiced by Rajeev Raj) is a singer while Bagha (Maneesh Bhawan) is a percussionist. Both of them are thrown out of their respective villages as the villagers simply can’t stand their music. They both bump into each other in a village and start jamming. Unlike humans who hate their music, the ghosts love it and the Ghost King (Voiced by Shailendra Pande) grants them four wishes. They take three and save one for the future. How the wished proves to be life altering for them is what the film is about.
The film scores in the animation and the voiceover departments. Rajeev Raj & Maneesh Bhawan do a fine job. It has a few nice songs as well. But the problem with the film is that it’s not engaging enough. The narrative is inconsistent and lacks any sort of depth. The humour is also not up to mark.
Rishi Kapoor being diagnosed with cancer and undergoing treatment in the US is known to all. However, no confirmation was given by the actor on the same.
Rishi Kapoor, who is currently getting treated in the US is often visited by his friends from the film industry and recently, Aamir Khan was seen spending some quality time with him.

Today’s wasn’t a usual Tuesday morning. As soon as we opened our social media apps or even TV for that matter, everyone was busy singing praises for the Indian Air Force. The IAF carried out a surgical air strike across terror camps of Jaish-e-Mohammed near the Line of Control (LOC). About 12 of India’s Mirage 2000 fighter jets took to the skies and dropped 1000 kgs of bombs & destroyed these terror-breeding grounds. This surgical air strike was an answer to the in human Pulwama terror attack which shook the entire nation on February 14.
A suicide bomber belonging to a terror-outfit named Jaish-e-Mohammed attacked a CRPF convoy in Pulwama less than two weeks ago i.e on 14th February. This attack led to the martyrdom of 40 brave jawans of the CRPF.
JeM has been active in Pakistan for the last two decades, and is led by Masood Azhar with its headquarters in Bahawalpur. This is said to be the first cross-border air strike India has carried out in nearly five decades.
Total Dhamaal is a movie where audience know what they are gonna get. Total Dhamaal follows the same template as Dhamaal. A bunch of guys (this time with addition of a girl) in a treasure hunt in some obscure land and in this hunt their journey is filled with stumbles and at the cost of them we get our dose of laughter.
In Total Dhamaal, 5 teams of 2 are chasing 50 crore rupees in a far away zoo. Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Mishra are thieves who earlier stole the cash from Boman Irani and Vijay Patkar who are corrupt police officials but they are double crossed by Pinto played by Manoj Pahwa who reveals the location of loot just before he is about t die. This last words of him are heard by borthers Arshad Warsi and Javed Jaffrey, a bickering soon-to-be divorced couple Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit, greedy duo of Riteish Deshmukh and Pitobash.
The movie is filled with dialouges like “Avinash nahi, tu toh Satyanash hai” and such war of word is constant between Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit and will make you ROFL. Javed Jaffery and Arshad Warsi are funny and as usual the best pair of the Dhamaal series. Riteish Deshmukh in Dhamaal series is as equal to Sureh Raina in IPL- a superstar and always a top player. Ajay Devgn who is new in this series is the weakest link unlike Anil Kapoor and Madhuri is not given much to work in comedy department.
You will have Dhamaal in Indra Kumar’s Total Dhamaal and you can take your kids to this fun movie which has many CGI animals like Lion, tiger, rhinoceros, elephant, gorilla, snake, parrot.
More importantly Total Dhamaal is not a sex comedy and it is a slapstick comedy which demographic of all ages can enjoy.
We give Total Dhamaal 4 stars with a kink full of laughter.
